Study on the Optimization Design of TWC Based on Chemical Reaction Kinetics Simulation
Abstract
Based on the simulation of exhaust gas after-treatment established by GT-Power, the washcoat partition approach has been studied both experimentally and by numerical modeling. It shows that, as the mass of noble metal keeping constant, the washcoat partition approach, in which the substrate is equally separated into two partitions and the concentration ratio of precious metal between the two partitions is 4:1, presents the content of CH, 0.037g/km, in exhaust has been decreased in 26.7% comparing to the non-partition approach.
