Abstract

By pushing popular contents to users through broadcast networks while using cellular networks to provide personal requests, the converged satellite and terrestrial network provides a very effective solution to deal with the bottlenecks in terrestrial network traffic. This paper proposes a converged satellite and terrestrial network that uses community cache servers to distribute content nearby. In addition, we defined a network delay calculation method for the service process. We simulated this method and the results show that the integration of network elements is indeed beneficial to reduce the service processing delay of the core network.
