Finite Element Analysis of the Crankshaft Mechanical Strength of an 8L265 Diesel Engine

Abstract


In this paper, the crankshaft of an 8L265 diesel engine is studied. Using Pro/E software to model the whole crankshaft, and the CAD model is imported into the finite element analysis software ANSYS-Workbench. The distribution of mechanical stress of the crankshaft are studied with each cylinder ignition respectively.
