Research on the Selection of China’s Intermediate Target of Monetary Policy

Abstract

This article mainly studies the selection of the intermediate target in China. It does a comprehensive analysis of broadly defined money supply index (M2) from its test-ability, control-ability, relevance and interference immunity, and finally comes to the conclusion that whether the M2 should still be the intermediate target of monetary policy or not.
