The Applications of Ultraviolet Visible Absorption Spectrum Detection Technology in Gemstone Identification
Abstract
UV - visible absorption spectroscopy detection technique is an effective means of chemical composition and crystal structure analysis of precious stones, accurate, fast, simple, and non-destructive and equipment low price, with a wide range of applications in the identification of gemstones. By UV test sample gem - Vis absorption spectra and analyzing the resulting pattern information, and based on previous research, the results of UV - Vis Spectroscopy help guide the identification of varieties of gemstones, natural stones and synthetic gemstones, natural gemstones and artificial gemstones optimization and other aspects of the similarities and differences, as well as the color of gemstone research of the mechanism of coloration of gemstones complement conventional detection methods play an important role.
