Abstract

Investigations of the surface activity of aqueous solutions of various sodium sulphates homologues with heptane and the boundary on the basis of these measurements, the spreading coefficients were calculated by an aqueous solution of heptane solution and heptane. Shows the behavior of the foam obtained from the solutions of the homologous series of sulfates, in contact with a burning heptane markedly different. Investigated the effectiveness of the fire extinguishing foam from an aqueous solution of sodium sulfate. It is determined that the fire-extinguishing efficiency in a series of homologs sodium sulphate surface activity correlates with solutions of these surfactants.
