Introduction of Popular Music to Music Teaching in Middle School

Abstract


With the further development of new curriculum reform, the teaching content and methods about middle school music are also changing to great extent. It has aroused heated discussion whether popular music should be introduced to middle school and how to introduce it. At present, there are many problems about this issue, such as the bias towards popular music and lack of uniform and feasible standards to choose the pop music, as well as lack of scientific teaching methods.
