Evaluation Status of Approval of Recommended National Standards and Analysis on Projects in 2016

Abstract

Evaluation of approval of recommended national standards was officially launched in March 2016 according to the Plan for Deepening the Reform of Standardization Work of the State Council, and it covers preliminary audit of materials and expert evaluation. The Standardization Administration of China (SAC) will organize relevant organizations and experts to evaluate the necessity and feasibility of the project, and put forward suggestions on the approval. Problems such as unreasonable standard system and incomplete project drafts were found in the approval evaluation performed in 2016, showing that SAC shall continue to be strict with the approval evaluation, strengthen the propagation and implementation of policies for national standardization, and enhance the management on the responsible organization of the project.
