Strategy of Discipline Construction and Quality Improvement of Postgraduate Education in Local Universities

Abstract

Discipline construction plays a very important leader role in the development of colleges and universities and it’s an important carrier for the high-level postgraduate education. The discipline construction of local colleges and universities and the cultivation of graduate students should be closely combined with the needs of local economic and social development. It should optimize the discipline layout, highlight the characteristics of the discipline, strengthen the connotation construction, and improve the service ability. On the basis of elaborating the connotation of discipline and discipline construction, this paper analyzes the supporting role of discipline construction on postgraduate education, and puts forward the strategies and implementation approaches of discipline connotation construction and improvement of postgraduate education quality in local universities.
