Abstract

Under the background of the new era, the information literacy (IL) training of college students has important theoretical and practical significance. The theoretical structure of college students’ IL has been constructed by using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. The “Information Literacy Questionnaire for College Students†was compiled from four dimensions: information awareness (IA), information knowledge and skills (IKS), information innovation (II) and information ethics (IE). Using SPSS22.0, one-way ANOVA and independent-samples T-test were conducted. The survey found that there were significant differences in college students’ IL among different groups such as gender, major, grade, and academic achievement. Based on the investigation and the in-depth exploration of the reasons, the differentiation training strategy of college students’ IL was put forward in the new era.
