Analysis of C-E Translation of Political Writings in Eco-Translation

Abstract

English translation of Chinese political texts is one of the indispensable elements to realize China's international communication going out. This paper first provides a brief account of the history of translation studies, especially the background, and present situation of C-E translation of political writings studies in China. Then it makes a literature review on English translation of Chinese political writings. From the perspective of eco-translatology, this paper illustrates the importance of ecoenvironment in translation work. Finally, it focuses on the adaptation and selection of C-E translation of political writings. The study is expected to describe and analyze the adjustments and choices made in the process of translation so as to provide suggestions for the English translation of Chinese political works.
