Simulation Research on Protective Range of Stress Relief Seam in First Mined Seam
Abstract
The technique in exploiting of first mined seam and gas drainage of stress relief seam is one of the most effective and economical regional measures in preventing coal and gas outburst. During the first mining process, the key to preventing coal and gas outburst is determining the protective range of stress relief seam accurately. For the engineering project of 513C15 working face in Xieyi mine in Huainan, the protective range of stress relief seam is determined according to expansive deformation of it by COMSOL Multiphysics simulating software. Thus, the protective function of stress relief seam is represented actually, which provides basis for the design of gas drainage drilling parameters in it and ensures its effectiveness, safety and economical efficiency.
