Health Risk Assessment of VOCs Emissions from Petroleum Volatilizes
Abstract
In this paper, the atmospheric samples in oil storage tanks were collected and the characteristics of VOCs of oil volatilizes were studied by GC-MS, and 54 VOCs components were detected. Using the Non-carcinogenic Risk Assessment Model applied Hazard Index (HI) and Carcinogenic Risk Assessment Model applied Incremental Lifetime Cancer Risk (ILCR) to carry out the risk assessment of components of VOCs, and then iterate 5000 operations through monte carlo model. The results show that directly exposed to volatile oil and gas, the population can produce significant carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic health risks. Therefore, the discharge of oil and gas volatilization should be properly governed.
