Abstract

The short-circuit temperature rise tests were carried out in order to analyze the surface temperature rise processes on the different positions of the 110kV/40MVA oil immersed forced-oriented oil circulation air-cooled three phase vehicle-mounted transformer. A thermocouple probe was used to measure the temperature of tank surface. Results show that the surface temperature rise processes are similar on different positions of tank. The maximum temperature was 53.5 °C, which appeared at the top of the tank, with the maximum surface temperature rise of 26K and the surface temperature difference of 12 °C. It is proved that the structure design of the transformer is reasonable, which ensures its safe operation.
