Evaluation Methods of Minimum Miscibility Pressure for Crude Oil and CO2 in Glutenite Reservoir
Abstract
The lithology of the sandy conglomerate reservoir is complex and heterogeneous, and there are many types of non-permeable barriers between reservoirs. It is imperative to carry out EOR measures. CO2 flooding can not only greatly improve reservoir recovery, but also solve greenhouse effect through storage, and the minimum miscible pressure (MMP) of crude oil is the main factor for CO2 flooding. Three methods, including slim tube method, interface observation method and empirical method, were used for the measurement and calculation of MMP. The results show that the minimum miscibility pressure of crude oil in glutenite reservoir is similar by slim tube method, interface observation method and empirical formula method, and the minimum miscibility pressure of crude oil measured under the experimental conditions in this paper is about 21 MPa.
