Comparative Analysis of Lithium ion Supercapacitor Models for Electric Vehicle
Abstract
Lithium ion supercapacitor is a new type of power supply. It is combined with the characteristics of high energy density of lithium battery and high power of Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitor(EDLC). However, there is little research related to modeling. In this paper, eight equivalent circuit models are used to simulate lithium ion Supercapacitors. Through the analysis of datasets, those eight models are compared in terms of robustness, accuracy and complexity, so as to obtain the best equivalent circuit model of lithium ion supercapacitor under different conditions. This work can provide some guidance for the power management system of electric vehicles using lithium ion supercapacitors and can also serve as a reference for other related work.
