Stability and Hopf Bifurcation for a Class of Magnetorheological Damper System

Abstract


Nonlinear dynamics including stability and Hopf bifurcation of the MR damper system are investigated in this paper. All the equilibriums of the system and their stability are studied in detail. Using the Hopf bifurcation theorem and the first Lyapunov coefficient, the conditions and the type of Hopf bifurcations for the system are obtained. With the Runge-Kutta method, numerical simulations are given, which verify the analytic results.
