Application of SPN Simulation in Reliability Evaluation of Software-intensive Systems

Abstract


This paper presents a model based on Stochastic Petri Net, which evaluates the reliability of software-intensive systems, and analyzes the relationship between the hardware and software, and establishes the simulation model according to the fault performance. This model solves the exponential explosion problem of stochastic Petri net when it is converted into continuous time Markov chain. Several performance of software-intensive reliability is estimated.
