DECISION MODEL FOR TECHNICAL VALUE-STREAM INTEGRATION OF ACTIVE COMPONENT TRACEABILITY

Abstract


Digitisation and the interconnection of data within value-adding-processes promise a multitude of opportunities in order to increase the competitiveness of production companies. Different initiatives, such as Germany’s “Industrie 4.0â€, were started in order to take the digitalisation of production processes to a new level. One key requirement of innovative factories is the ability to track and locate objects real-time or almost real-time. This article describes a multi criteria decision making model for technical value-stream integration of active component traceability in production processes.
