Automatic Audio Recognition for Birds, a Bag of Acoustic Words Approach

Abstract

For many biological research areas, automatic audio recognition for birds is a highly demanded technique nowadays. We proposed an automatic bird song recognition method base on signal processing, bag of acoustic words and k nearest neighbors. Then we test our method with the real data collected from Gutian national nature reserve and get good result.
