Research of a SDN Traffic Scheduling Technology Based on Ant Colony Algorithm

Abstract


SDN decouples network control plane and data plane, makes the controller gain the global network topology view using logically centralized control, and appropriate scheduling of the network traffic conducted by north bound interface. For the controller of distributed routing multipath and the dynamic characteristics, the ant colony algorithm mechanism routing is adopted and compared with the traditional Equal Cost Multipath Routing (ECMP) algorithm by the experimental simulation. The results show that the ant colony algorithm reduces a link or node congestion in the network, and improves the network link’s utilization rate effectively.
