Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties and Carbonization of Plastic Concrete
Abstract
In order to study the effect of adding plastic particles on the performance of concrete, the mechanical properties and carbonization test of concrete with different amount plastic granules were carried out. The results showed that with the increased of plastic granules, the splitting tensile strength, compressive strength and elastic modulus of concrete were significantly reduced, and the peak strain was obviously increased. The incorporation of plastic particles also has a significant effect on the carbonation of concrete. With the amount of plastic particles increased, the carbonization rate accelerated significantly.
