Research on Danger Level of Cascading Failure in Power System Based on Nodal Injection

Abstract


A whole set of methodologies for calculating danger level focused on cascading trips in power system is proposed in this paper. The methodology includes a new model for expressing the danger level that the power system may be subject to the threat of cascading trip event when an initial failure occurs and a new method based on nodal injection to solve the model and calculate danger level. An example on IEEE 14-system proves the validity of the methodology.
