Constant Frequency Operation of the Parallel Loaded Resonant DC/DC Converter for Power LED Lighting
Abstract
A DC/DC resonant converter for power LED lighting, controlled with constant frequency by means of the control of the auxiliary transistors' conduction time is presented in the paper. The proposed converter topology allows to relatively high range of its output power changes in comparison to the conventional parallel resonant converter. Comparison between average power losses in semiconductor elements in the converter controlled with a constant frequency and in equivalent converter controlled with a variable frequency is presented to emphasize attractiveness of proposed converter.
