An Algorithm of Key Frame Extraction Based on I Frame and RS

Abstract

The paper proposes a novel key frame representation algorithm based on Rough Sets and I frame. Firstly, DCT coefficients of I frames has extracted from compressed domain. Then the algorithm has selected and preprocessed the DC coefficients from DCT coefficients. Next, Information System has constructed with DC coefficients. Finally, using attributes reduced theory of RS , we reduce Information System, and obtain the representation of the video frames by reduced DC coefficients. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective.
