Research of Pollutants Impact on Anti-sliding Performance in Asphalt Pavement

Abstract

The lack of anti-sliding performance in asphalt pavement caused by pollutants is one of major factors causing the traffic accidents. This paper discusses the influencing mechanism of different types of pollutants on the anti-sliding performance in pavement, and researches different polishing effects of pollutants on the aggregates in pavement based on SMA-13, AC-13, OGFC-13 asphalt mixtures and four types of different polishing media, and designs six types of different pollution levels to simulate the polishing effect of vehicles in real pavement, obtaining the attenuation rules of the long-term anti-sliding performance in pavement with pollutants.
