Optimizing Design of Control System for Flying Shear in Tandem Cold Rolling Line

Abstract


The rotary flying shear is one of the most important equipments, which is widely used in tandem cold rolling production line. Based on high-performance SIMATIC TDC control system and its software platform, the flying shear control system was established, the key parameters for automatic cutting were identified, and the algorithm of automatic cutting process was optimized and improved to achieve a stable and efficient automatic cutting. Meanwhile, the system’s hardware configuration and software architecture were given. The practical application shows that the flying shear control system possesses high stability, and the cutting deviation can be controlled within ±30mm.
